All month we’ve been picking pumpkins, watching scary movies, wandering haunted houses, and preparing our costumes…and the day is finally here.

Whether you’re trick-or-treating, raving it up downtown, having a horror movie marathon, or carving last minute pumpkins, we hope you have the most frighteningly fun night!

Halloween at The Sticky Wicket

Not only is there a Halloween-themed ThinkTank trivia event happening at 7 p.m. in the Clubhouse, there’s an afterparty too!

Stick around at The Sticky Wicket for a Halloween party with DJs, a room full of fantastic costumes, good drinks, and candy.

Dance the night away with your pals!

No tickets required and there’s no cost to play trivia.

Halloween Bonfires In and Around Victoria

One of Victoria’s many Halloween traditions includes multiple different controlled and fun bonfires happening around the city!

So, whether you’re a fan of ghost stories, toasting marshmallows, or simply enjoying the warm glow on a crisp October evening, you’ll find something to enjoy at one of the many.

Halloween Fun Fest & BBQ

Looking for some family fun before or after trick or treating?

The Victoria West Community Association is putting on a Halloween Fun Fest & BBQ night for you and all the kidlets!

Swing on by for some delicious food and Halloween themed activities.

The event is free to attend—all they ask is that you bring a non-perishable food item for the local Little Pantry if you’re able to do so.

Rocky Horror Picture Show at Vic Theatre

Don’t miss the final showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Vic Theatre!

If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s your chance to witness this bizarre comedy-sci-fi-horror-gender-bending rock opera in all of its glory.

Halloween Night at Lucky Bar

Lucky Bar invites you for a night of costumes, dancing, and celebratory drinks!

A trio of rock bands will be taking the stage with covers of all-time favourite songs and artists.

Halloween Party at Stage Wine Bar

Show off your cool costume at this Cowboy Disco themed Halloween Party at Stage Wine Bar!

This is a 19+ event and they promise a night filled with plenty of good food, drinks, and fantastic times.

Haunted Manor: Mini-Golf + Ping Pong Lounge

‘Tis the season for haunted mini golf!

Haunted Manor Victoria prides themselves on being not your average mini golf, where you’ll putt your way through a dilapidated manor with a ghoulish history that lures you through your 18-hole game.

Enjoy their feature seasonal attraction, The Pumpkin King Holiday Layover, until November 5th!

General admission is $24.95 and kids 15 and under are $17.95.

Halloween Ghost Tour

Celebrate the season of horror by taking a tour of the local haunted hotspots!

Discover the Past has a variety of different tour options available under ‘Ghostly Walks’ depending on the time of year.

The Halloween special is only available until October 31st, so don’t miss out on a chilling evening stroll with petrifying with ghost stories and Victoria’s dark history.

Ticket prices vary, but general admission is $21 for adults and $16 for students.

Halloween Latin Style at Bard & Banker

Join Miguelito Valdés and the band as they treat everyone at the Bard & Banker to a Latin-style Halloween evening!

No cover charge required—just bring your dancing shoes and be prepared to have fun and swing the night away.

Saanichton Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch

Feeling a last-minute frolic through a pumpkin patch?

This year, the corn maze has been expanded to an impressive six acres—their biggest one yet.

There will also be a beer garden and Indian food truck on-site on select weekends, and additionally, the pumpkin patch is dog-friendly!

Grab your flannels and boots and head to the patch, which is open from Friday to Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each week until October 31st.

Tickets are available online, and you can book your visit on their website.

Each ticket gets you admission to pumpkin patch and the corn maze and is perfect for all ages.

Pumpkins are also available for purchase, but will be an extra cost on top of your general admission ticket.

Double Feature at Cinecenta

Popcorn and a Halloween double feature? Um, yes!

If you purchase tickets to see the first film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari at 5:30 p.m., you can see the second, The Bride of Frankenstein at 7 p.m. for free.

The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari is a 1920s famous movie that catapulted the movement known as German Expressionism into film history!

As described, it depicts a disorienting world in which a demented doctor and a carnival sleepwalker perpetrate a series of ghastly murders in a small community.

The Bride of Frankenstein has been called the best of the Frankenstein movies and mixes horror, shocking material, and satirical humour!

It has been dubbed an “influential masterpiece of art direction.”

All tickets are purchased at the Cinecenta ticket booth.

Festival of Fear and Carnevil at Galey Farms

In the mood to be absolutely petrified?

Galey Farms’ Festival of Fear has begun and includes the Corn Maze of Horror, Crazy Train, and Haunted House.

Bring a buddy or two because it’s going to get freaky!

General admission tickets for Festival of Fear are just under $22 and Carnevil tickets are around $18—you can purchase them here.

‘Animated’ Halloween Party at Herald Street Brew Works

That’s right—you heard correctly! There’s an ‘animated’ Halloween party happening at  Herald Street Brew Works.

Dress up as your favourite cartoon character and gear yourself up for a ridiculously fun evening!

There will be featured performances from DJs Funky Grooves, DJ Marlon and Julian Loreto, and 90’s House.

Naturally, there will also be a costume contest, so dress your best and get down on the dance floor!

Tickets are $30 and that includes a welcome cocktail.

Still plenty of wonderfully plump pumpkins at family favourite Mitchell’s Farm!

Mini Halloween Brewery Tour

Who knew pumpkin could be used for so many different things?

With Halloween activities and buzz in full swing, it’s no surprise that local breweries wanted to hop on the opportunity to get involved in this frighteningly fun occasion too!

From pumpkin nitro ales to ‘smoochies’, you’ll want to get your hands on these unique blends.

Horse-Drawn Haunted Halloween Tours

As Halloween approaches, when the barrier between the world of the living and the dead is thinnest, we are more likely to experience sightings and ghostly energies.

Experience the dark and twisted past of Victoria’s most-infamous haunted buildings and hear spine-tingling tales of their resident ghosts!

  • Where:
    • Victoria tours depart from the corner of Belleville and Menzies Streets, beside the Parliament Buildings
    • Central Saanich tours depart from outside the Central Saanich Municipal Hall
  • When: Tuesday, October 31st—book timeslots from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Haunted House at Luxton Fairgrounds

Something terrifyingly fun is waiting for you and your pals at the Luxton Fairgrounds! There are different timeslots available for a kid-friendly experience earlier in the day.

Enter if you dare—their haunted house is set up for one final thrilling day and you’re invited.

Entrance fee is $15 for adults 16 years and older and $10 for kids. They only accept cash, so come prepared.
